Chew on this...

"Life will either beat strength and perseverance into you

or beat them out of you. You choose." - Gary

Calls Build Trust

According to research, texting lacks the richness of nonverbal cues and emotional depth from in-person interactions, which are crucial to forming strong connections. Interestingly, there’s no real discernable difference between a voice call and a video call so whichever one you feel comfortable with you should do.

Here's what caught our eye:

Texting is clearly the least effective way to connect or strengthen a relationship. Yet, our guess is, it’s the most used because it’s the most convenient and the least fear-inducing.

How We Spend Money

Here’s what surprised us:

This study only noted three renovations that improved a seller’s financial return: replacing a garage door or a front steel door, or upgrading stone veneer.

Keep in mind that this study measures the return on an investment, not whether the improvement helped sell the house. Don’t get confused! Kitchens, decks, and appliance replacements are all major improvements that clearly enhance the seller’s ability to sell the home. Sellers may not get all their money back, but at least they’re selling the property.

Interviews with Masterminds showed that sellers should always consider sticking to the basics for the highest return - paint, flooring, landscaping, and curb appeal. Several staging experts advise that bathrooms and kitchens with the right selections and catered to the appropriate price point will always maximize sales price and minimize time on market.

8 Easy Ways to Boost Your Mental Health

1. 90 seconds of processing an emotion in the moment can save 7 years of baggage.

2. 5 minutes per day in the sun shrinks fat cells, boosts metabolism and vitamin D, regulates appetite hormones, and sync circadian rhythm.

3. 15 minutes a day talking to a friend or family member on the phone or in person (texting and social media do not count!) decreases depression.

4. 30 minutes of walking, stretching, and/or exercise improves mood and sleep.

5. 7-8 hours of sleep each night reduces stress, depression, and aggression.

6. Once per day, eat a healthy meal to boost energy and mental capacity, and decrease inflammation.

7. Once per week, sit down quietly to write, meditate, or vocalize thoughts of gratitude.

8. 2 weeks without internet on your phone leads to significant mood lifts and increased attention span.

Here’s our takeaway: Boosting mental health can be easier than imagined.
